Four-hundred copies of the movie “Cantinflas”, that tells the life of the most famous Mexican comedy actor, will be released in 30 U.S. cities on Friday.
Cantinflas was the artistic name of Mexican actor Fortino Mario Alonso Moreno Reyes, who performed the same character over and over again during his 50 years acting career.
In his movies, Cantinflas was always an ingenuous and clumsy underdog that got into many troubles, but always succeeded thanks to his charisma and ingenuity.
Mario Moreno also won an Golden Globe in 1956 for his role as Passepartout in the movie "Around the World in 80 Days”, directed by Michael Anderson.
In “Cantinflas”, the movie directed by Mexican Sebastian Del Amo, Mario Moreno is played by the Spaniard actor Oscar Jaenada.
