Protesters march in Mexico City against Nieto's reforms (RuptlyTV)
Hundreds of people marched on Monday in Mexico City to protest against Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto's administration on the day he delivered to Congress his second state of the union address, emphasizing the 11 crucial reforms his government pushed into law, including the energy bill, which ended Mexico´s 76-year monopoly on gas, oil and electricity.
The rally took place the before Peña Nieto addresses Mexican citizens with a special speech on occasion of his state of the union report. The demonstrators called for a national strike this month on a day to be determined September 7.
The state of the union report was delivered by Interior Minister Miguel Angel Osorio to the presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.
