LGBT CONFEX Ready for LGBT Business Forum ITCM

The 5th edition of LGBT CONFEX’s LGBT Business Forum will bring a delegation of international business leaders to this year’s IV Equality Week taking place in Bogota, Colombia from September 28 to October 5, 2014.

This marks the first time Latin America's leading LGBT business network, LGBT Confex, brings the full conference outside of Mexico, where it has held editions in Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and this year’s Vallarta-Nayarit. The tailor-made event was developed and produced an LGBT Business Forum for Bogota's Equality Week as part of a request made by the City of Bogota.  

The LGBT Business Forum will be held at Camara de Comercio de Bogota - Chapinero and will be a B2B and consumer event focused on the LGBT community in an effort to increase awareness and respect for sexual orientation and gender identification in the workplace and in the community in general.  

The LGBT Business Forum will open with an exclusive showing of Oasis/Keidas a documentary on the struggles of HIV + indigenous populations in Mexico which won this year’s Guadalajara Premio Maguey International Film Festival.   

In addition, it will include elements designed to maximize networking business and educational opportunities in addition to educational and social opportunities, making the experience as complete as possible for all participants. Other participants include Deena Fidas of the Human Right’s Campaign workplace equality program and Daniel Lawrence Smith of the San Francisco-based Out & Equal Workplace Advocates will present workshops focused on LGBT diversity in the workplace Representatives from Mexico’s Mundo Cuervo and Quist App will also be on hand to develop new connections with local businesses.
