Just 7 miles from historic downtown Mexico City, in the midst of one of the most densely populated areas, is the Cerro de la Estrella (Hill of the Star), a natural elevation upon which the ancient Aztecs built a pyramid to watch the skies.
Today, in this pyramid we see a spectacular view of Mexico City: One of the largest and most modern cities in the world. Many groups of people continue climbing to the top to hold ceremonies in a mixture of pre-Hispanic and Catholic worship.
