Mexico's Paola Díaz opened the medal count by winning silver in triathlon.
"I can't believe I won the silver medal, I'm very happy. The competition was very close. This is the first medal for my country in these games, it has a very special meaning to me." Paola said.
The Pan American Games are being held from July 10 to July 26, 2015 in Toronto, Canada. The Games are hosting 6,135 athletes representing 41 National Olympic Committees (NOCs).
