Inhale a 'Smoothie' in Cozumel's Underwater Bar (CCTV Africa)
While most bars generate profit with gin and tonics or vodka on the rocks, this bar operates on a strict ‘no hangover’ policy. Replacing smoke in the lungs with the underrated oxygen molecule, the unconventional ‘Clear Lounge,’ now open to the public in Conzumel, Mexico, is an underwater oxygen bar that pumps a blend of air and one of many pre-selected aromatherapy scents into a transparent specially designed helmet. The experience is only available for ages eight and up, and costs $38 USD per person for half an hour.
Guests are invited to partake in underwater Jenga or try out a high-powered bubble gun to shoot at their friends while a bartender serves up oxygen-infused fruit smoothies above the surface. An underwater photobooth offers lips and mustaches to ‘try on,’ ensuring participants manage to capture their best subaquatic moments. The bar also features a message board for communication with jealous outsiders.
