In Mexico, dissident public teachers of the national coordinator of education workers union suffered a police operation that sought to forcibly evict a protest camp that the teachers had installed in front of the Interior Ministry.
The teachers are seeking dialogue with the authorities to revoke the so-called education reform that the educators argue is an attack on their labor rights and opens the doors to privatizing public education.
