Ubaldo Martínez Osuna, David Delgado Hernández and Alberto Álvarez Vallejo, specialists at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM), said that among the benefits of home automation (smart homes) are increased comfort, greater security, exact control of energy expenditure and more leisure time.
Speaking at the “Level, Technologies and Companies Studying Smart Homes in Mexico,” conference, the experts from UAEM Architecture and Design Department stressed that “the constant development of telecommunications and a combination of factors has forced computing to adapt to all elements of daily life.”
They pointed out that the United States, followed by Israel and Korea, is the leading country in the small number of nations involved in the home automation sector, while in Mexico the development in this area is still limited due to high costs of the equipment and systems that are required.
