Mexico City, Host of the World Bicycle Forum 2017 (NotimexTV)
Mexico City will host the Sixth Edition of the World Bike Forum 2017 (FMB6). It is the event that specializes in exchanging ideas of sustainable mobility in the world, and in addition to promoting the culture of cycling, seeks to promote an improvement of public spaces for all, including pedestrians and motorists, to move safely.
Mexico City was awarded host last year, beating out bids from Russia, Brazil and Peru. The event will be held in the capital city from April 19 – 23, under the motto ‘Handmade Cities”, believing that handmade work is meticulous work, full of heart. The forum imagines cities designed with this same passion and dedication.
According organizers, they are expecting a participation of approximately 15,000 people from different parts of Mexico, Latin America and the world.
During the five days of the event, master lectures, panels, workshops, urban interventions and international artistic presentations will be held in various spaces of the Historic Center of Mexico City, as well as in Ciudad Universitaria and the Xochimilco delegation.
For people who are interested in attending the forum, it is free and you just have to register on the website of the forum. Check out more information on their Twitter and Facebook profiles.
