The sight of someone having a nap in the airport is a common one, but Mexico City is also making it a more comfortable one. It has opened its first capsule hotel, for as little as $30 per night.
Alonso Gutierrez was one of the guests: “Staying in any other hotel, with the same comforts, would have cost me between around $100 and $160 a night. The prices are very actually quite reasonable here.”
Each pod is around two-meters long and one-meter wide, a welcome alternative to lounging on an airport seat, as Enrique explained: “It is very practical. I can see that the bed in the room is very comfortable, security is excellent. The cost is very accessible.”
