Leonardo Fernandez reaches the Summit of Mount Everest and endorses Obrador for Mexico's president.
Leonardo Fernandez, a Mexican mountaineer, recently achieved scaling to the summit of Mount Everest, the world’s tallest mountain which reaches 29,035 feet. Instead of just gazing at the beautiful view, as the typical mountaineer would do, Fernandez took advantage of the moment to share a bit about his political view.
Fernandez utilized the little breath he could gather at that elevation, where there is only a third of the level of oxygen in the air when compared to sea level, to endorse the presidential campaign of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
The surprising feat has gathered attention from both constituents and those campaigning for Obrador. In this case, it’s amazing not to what lengths, but to what heights some may go to voice their opinions on politics.
