Going to Mexico for Medical Care (KENS)
SAN ANTONIO, TX - Thousands of Americans continue to flock to Mexico for medical procedures and prescriptions despite the federal government making subsidized health care available through the Affordable Care Act.
The plans were rolled out with much fanfare October 1, but as of last week, the number of Americans signed up for federal health care plans was well below expectations.
... In recent weeks, KENS 5 has heard from hundreds of people who said they have no plans to stop crossing into Mexico for medical care.
