Last Friday, the Mexican House of Representatives approved a new climate law by a massive 280 – 10 majority. The law requires the country's greenhouse gas emissions to be cut by 30 per cent compared to where they would be under business-as-usual by the end of this decade – and 50 per cent by 2050.
