Ocean Friendly Tours
December 11, 2011

Join Ocean Friendly Tours and Health Care Resources on four tours where a portion of every booking is donated to the charities listed below.

Not only will your money fund valuable whale research that helps to ensure the survival of the Humpback whale, you'll also be helping the people of Puerto Vallarta through the money that will be donated by Ocean Friendly tours to the various charities.

Oscar Frey from Ocean Friendly Tours along with Keith May from the Puerto Vallarta Whale Watching Forum believe in responsible tourism and are dedicated to responsible whale watching and the protection and preservation of the Humpback whales.

"Respectful" is a key word when it comes to describing Ocean Friendly Tours whale watching excursions. Led by a marine scientist & his specialized, bilingual crew, discover the marvels of the whale world onboard the customized fiberglass boats. You will be able to listen to the whale's tonal singing with their hydrophone and speaker system. Your day on board will bring lifelong memories.

For further information, along with photos, please visit the Whale Watching Tour Page and the What's New Page to learn about the regular whale watching tour and the Marietas Island Tour with whale watching included.

HealthCare Resources Puerto Vallarta supports all initiatives in this area and is proud to be working together with Oscar and Keith to provide various dates throughout the whale watching season where a portion of each ticket sold will go to benefit three different charities.

The charities chosen this year are the Street Children of Puerto Vallarta, Beca's Vallarta and Los Mangos Library.

Street Children of Puerto Vallarta: Children end up on the streets for a number of reasons with the most common reason being poverty. For some of those that are picked up on the street by Child Protective Services, their needs are overwhelming, from school supplies to vaccines. The ability to purchase these day-to-day needs for the street children is a daily struggle.

Beca's Vallarta: Education must be the key to living a productive and satisfying life. Scholarships are awarded to top students in the area who meet set qualifications and who would otherwise not have the opportunity of a good, solid education. Beca's Vallarta has worked and continues to work with literally 1,000's of children, ensuring a bright and promising future for many young people in our area.

Los Mangos Biblioteca: A true and vital "community center", the local library provides local culture, books, movies and specialized programs for the people of Puerto Vallarta. The new Children's Library (Esquina de Sally) promises to bring even more children through the Los Mangos doors.

We do hope that you will join in on this memorable experience, join in on one of the tours and at the same time, contribute to several well-deserving charities in the Banderas Bay area.

CHARITY ALERT Vallarta Botanical Garden Needs Your Help

TripAdvisor singled out the Botanical Garden for removal and placed us on our own page in Cabo Corrientes.

Please write and ask TripAdvisor why all other Cabo Corrientes attractions are still on the Puerto Vallarta page while only the Garden was removed.
