ArteVida Third Annual Art Gala Nicole Majewski - PEACE

Our 3rd Annual Art Gala, ArteVida, is coming soon.

We have an exciting evening planned and would love to see you there!

From 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2012, cocktails & appetizers will be served all evening, the silent auction begins at 6:00 pm followed by the live auction at 7:30 pm.

There will be live art installation and performances throughout the evening.
 
The event is being catered by Benitto's Paninoteca and sponsored by Quality Peoples & Punta Mita.

This year our event is going to be held at Casa China Blanca in El Farallon. Last year our event was right down the street at stunning Casa Gaviotas, also in El Farallon. We are so lucky to have such supportive donors who are willing to let us use their homes for this event!

Casa China Blanca is a recent remodel done by Architect Blanca Martinez, who constructed it with her own team. This home has appeared in several major films, including 2011's Limitless. It is also the set for several commercials & photo shoots as well as being the chosen venue for many weddings and corporate events.

For our event, we felt that this venue was perfect as well. Its stark white walls and white decor will be a dynamic backdrop to the unique art pieces we will be displaying as well as the colorful performances that will be taking place that evening.

Participating artists include Alejandro Mondria, Chisko, Antonio Collantez, Eveline Boren and more!

Chisko – an eye for color

One of the favorites of last year’s ArteVida, our friend Chisko, is back!

With the influence of living amongst artists, Chisko was able to develop a creative flair at a young age. Through his life & travel experiences he developed a primordial need; the shape with bright colors and almost absolute freedom of lines and shapes, playing and exposing all of that to say something through the paint.

The sensitivity Chisko characterizes both his work and in life itself, adds a somewhat magical and mystical element to his work resulting in his paintings is a range of shapes and colors in a style Chisko can print only in his paintings. Representing this quality as a human being defined as someone who believes in what he does, who lives by what he believes in. This same quality makes one full of dreams to work and follow the path of life with a look of creativity and color...His work represents all of which he represents as a person.

We are so happy to have him back!

Jose Antonio Collantez – Bridging esthetics with culture

Jose Antonio Collantez is an emerging artist locally and nationally. He studied in University of Technology in Mexico with the grand Maestro Jose Lazcarro. His studies not only included art but also philosophy & design. He works on bridging actual esthetic technologies and popular ethnology of the media, with an investigation of the image and the multimedia eclectic production.

His studio is located in Bucerias, Nayarit. He has had his works presented in expositions throughout Mexico, including Oaxaca, Mexico City & Puebla and also the United States and Canada.

Antonio is constantly participating in street art events, interior and exterior muralism experiments and cultivating expositions of all types in the area. His work has been seen on street corners, in galleries, on walls in major cities and even in a body paint festival! We are proud to have him participating this year!
