Attorney Edgar Veytia initiated dialogue with close and productive leaders and members of the Indigenous Movement of Nayarit, which is composed by ethnic Cora, Huichol, Tepehuana and Mexicanera.
Led by their leader Braulio Muñoz Hernandez, the Indians acknowledged the progress in security that has been accomplished by Governor Roberto Sandoval, in established bridges and communication systems in order to strengthen crime prevention.
During the meeting held in the Board Room of the EGF, it was agreed to work in unity with the Government of the People to keep them safe in maintaining the culture, crafts, music, flavors and folklore of our ethnic peoples.
Attorney Edgar Veytia said Indians "are our identity, our pride and passion to preserve our home," so has underlined their commitment to ensure the safety and security of indigenous communities.
Braulio Muñoz expressed satisfaction with the agreements reached at the hearing "because here are the facts that count and Attorney Edgar Veytia is a man of action, I hope that other officials do the same instead of only promises."
