Urgent Help Needed for Puerto Vallarta's Acopio Animal Shelter Kim Dewar - Friends of the Acopio Animal Shelter | |

The Acopio Animal Shelter of Puerto Vallarta is in dire need of work in the quarantine area.
The quarantine area is vital to the health of the animals as it provides a safe place to keep the new arrivals before they join the general population.
If a sick animal is placed in with the healthy ones...well, they don't stay healthy much longer. Right now, it is nearly unusable because the doors are badly damaged as you can see in the photos.
The doors were originally made of just wood and chicken-wire, so naturally they did not last long! The new doors would need to be metal.
In addition, the floor area needs to be prepared for a new drainage system. Right now, the waste drains right in front of the kennels of the healthy resident dogs.
We have the tile, but we need a tile saw and someone to operate it as well as breaking up of the existing floor and putting in proper drainage.
Please let me know if you or any of your associates may be able to assist with this project. I know it may be a bit of a stretch to find that level of skill, but we are so desperate I just have to ask!
If you can help, have suggestions or would like more information, please contact Kim Dewar, Friends of the Acopio Animal Shelter, at kimdewar@gmail.com.
We thank you in advance.
We invite you to add your charity or supporting organizations' news stories and coming events to PVAngels so we can share them with the world. Do it now!
