Riviera Nayarit is only 10 minutes away from the Puerto Vallarta airport and located at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountain range. Beaches and protected areas
The Riviera has beautiful beaches and protected areas to discover; San Blas is about a four-hour drive north of Puerto Vallarta. It is known as ‘Mexican Venice’ because in its small area holds a well-developed urban area with streets that became navigable canal during rainy season. It is believed to be the original Aztlan, home and birthplace of the Aztecs. The island is home to just over 800 people. Inhabitants make a living with shrimp fishing and handicrafts made from mangrove trees.
Riviera Nayarit adventure activities
Experience a day of jungle canopy zip lining at the Canopy Adventure Park. It is a half-day activity that includes; short hikes on jungle paths and plenty of zip lining “whooshes”. This is one of the eco adventures that make Riviera Nayarit so special and appealing for families. Prices are approx. $75 (USD) for adults and $52 (USD) for children.
ATV excursions is another wild activity you can practice in Riviera Nayarit, racing down trails into the jungle, splashing through rivers and kicking up the mud as you go on the road guarantees a fun-filled day.
