Toys For Tots Puerto Vallarta celebrates fifteen years creating smiles for children in need in and around Puerto Vallarta with the now traditional annual Golf Tournament and Gala Dinner.
CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort in conjunction with the Navy League Association and the Vista Vallarta Golf Course and many more volunteers, join forces to realize this dream that in these over 15 years have managed to distribute over 120,000 toys and install playgrounds in underserved areas of Puerto Vallarta.
The Fifteenth Annual Golf Tournament will be on Saturday, December 7, at the Vista Vallarta-Weiskopf Golf Course and will be a scramble format shotgun start at 11:00 am.
The Gala Dinner, in conjuction with the Golf Tournament, will take place at the CasaMagna Marriott Hotel in Marina Vallarta on the following day, Sunday, December 8, at 6:30 pm.
All funds raised will be used to buy toys for the children who normally do not receive any toys for the holidays. The goal is to spread more than 8,000 smiles next January on the Three Kings Day traditional Mexican festivity.
Celebrated annually in January, Three Kings Day is a celebration that commemorates the Biblical story of the three kings who followed the star of Bethlehem to bring gifts to the Christ child. According to the story, the Three Kings – Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar – presented the Baby Jesus with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Traditionally in Mexico, Three Kings Day is gift-giving time, rather than Christmas day.
Participation in the Golf Tournament donation is 1,500 pesos and the Gala Dinner Donation is 1,000 pesos in advance or 1,100 pesos at the door.
