Top Surfers & SUP Pros Return to 5th Annual Punta Sayulita Classic Punta Sayulita Foundation

With the generous support again of all our sponsors including presenting sponsor the Riviera Nayarit Tourism Board, the 5th Annual Punta Sayulita Classic is set for March 7 - 9, 2014.

Benefitting the Reef Check and Punta Sayulita Foundations, the top surfers and stand-up paddlers (SUP) in the world are set to return to Sayulita to compete in surfing contests as well as in exciting offshore SUP races.

Confirmed competitors include defending champions Zane Schweitzer and Connor Baxter of Hawaii, defending Men's longboard champion Tony Silvgani, 2-time defending men's longboard champion Darren Eudaly, as well as past champions, Sean Poynter, Vanina Waslsh, Mary Osborne, Karina Rozunka and many more top pros.

We are also fortunate to welcome some new corporate and individual sponsors to this year's event including Paul Mitchell Systems, Geltung Financial Advisors and SIC Paddleboard Company. As in year's past, the weekend festivities again will kick off with Foundation Friday which features an array of activities including a surf clinic for special needs children, the Eco-Warrior Foundation beach cleanup, children's art classes, autograph signing sessions as well as the PS Classic awards dinner Fiesta at the Don Pedros Restaurant event Palapa.

And finally, we have been trying to keep a secret the identity of next year's performer at the Punta Sayulita Classic benefit concert (which has been hard to do). We will be making this special announcement next month. Past performers include international reggae artists Mishka and Pato Banton.
