Bucerias Recycled Christmas Tree Challenge SNEAK PEEK! (Bucerias Art)
The Bucerias Recycled Bottle Christmas Tree Challenge is a two week "Fun!Raising" Recycling Awareness Exhibit where members of the community, businesses and organizations submit their originally designed Christmas trees of any size using plastic and/or glass bottles.
Everyone votes for their favorite Recycled Tree with pesos in a donation box. The tree with the most pesos collected, wins the "Best Dressed Tree" title. More importantly, the communities various charities win.
The trees will be displayed beginning on December 19 in the various businesses, restaurants and galleries along Lazaro Cardenas beginning at DeCameron to the footbridge. All submitted trees will be on display until January 2.
Galeria del Sol is pleased to be displaying the beautiful and unique recycled Christmas tree entered by La Biblioteca Rey Nayar, the Children's Library of Bucerias.
Please drop by and view their tree during the regular Art Walk on Thursday, December 19th, or any other time until January 2nd.
By making a donation, you'll be supporting the Library and the various programs it offers and helping them in their quest to have their tree named the best!
For the past thirteen years Galeria del Sol has been an integral part of the Visual Arts scene in Bucerias, Mexico. Visitors from around the world have enjoyed viewing works depicting the color and flavor of Mexico and the Mexican people.
