Annual Meeting for Cultural Association of Banderas Bay & Bucerias Library Norma Angelica Ortega Navarro - Biblioteca Rey Nayar

The long-awaited dream of the Cultural Association of Banderas Bay A.C. (Asociacion Bahia de Banderas Cultural), formed in 1998, to build and operate a library in Bucerias, became a reality. After many years of organizing, fundraising, acquiring land and construction, the organization opened the library's doors in 2011.

A meeting of all the members of the Banderas Bay Cultural Association is being called at the Biblioteca Rey Nayar located at 949 Camino Viejo a Valle in Bucerias, Riviera Nayarit.

If you would like to become involved with the Cultural Association and the Bucerias Library (Biblioteca Rey Nayar), we invite you to attend, become a member and participate in our annual meeting.

The First Meeting will be held on March 29, 2014 at 10:00 am. If a quorum is not achieved (50% + 1), a Second Meeting will be held at the same time and in the same location on April 8, 2014. If a quorum is not achieved (33% of current members), a Third Meeting will be held in the same place at the same time on April 9.

Any number of members present can proceed with the agenda whether or not there is a quorum as stated in the constitution of the Association.

The planned agenda is as follows:

1. Registration of members for the year 2014
2. Designation of the Chairperson, Secretary and Notetaker for the meeting
3. Verification that a quorum has been achieved and the meeting is declared legal and binding
4. Annual Report for 2013 Activities of the library & Financial Report
5. Nomination and election of new board members: Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer
6. Designation of the individual responsible for filing the minutes of the meeting with the Notary
7. Close the meeting

The notification of the annual meeting to members and potential members can be made by personal contact, fliers, or the use of newspaper advertisements.
