It’s done!

On Monday, March 24 an enthusiastic ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of the bathrooms at the Escuela Juan Escutia in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle in Riviera Nayarit.

The lively event was attended by a group of students, staff, residents and donors.

This was a community project that started almost 2 years ago and finally, after a lot of hard work and dedication; the work is done, the keys have been turned over and the ribbon has been cut.

The event was kicked off by Philo Hayward who read the list of generous donors and expressed his heartfelt thanks to all who contributed.

Maestro Luis Villalobos Herrera gave an enthusiastic presentation and the school principal, Citlali Escobedo Moreno joined in giving thanks. Certificates of appreciation were given. The Amigos de La Cruz  join in giving thanks to all.

Whether your donation was in the form of money, labor or time you are greatly appreciated.

Philo expressed that the list of donors below may not be complete, nor may all the spellings be correct. Please, if you see a needed correction or addition, let Amigos know and we’ll be happy to edit the list.  Contact us at Amigos de La Cruz.l
