Featured athletes of the School of Deaf Puerto Vallarta who attend the school which receives support by the Municipal DIF System, received a well-deserved recognition of the institution for their outstanding participation in the Campeonato Nacional Deportivo Selectivo para Sordos (National Sports League for the Deaf) where they obtained third place at the state level.
With this achievement, the players will be participating in the national stage to be held in September in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León and will represent Puerto Vallarta and the state of Jalisco.
Magaly Ortiz Fregoso, President of DIF Vallarta extended the congratulations and recognition to the team, their coaches and players and also motivated them to continue the consistency and discipline that will stand out in a clear national sport.
"I congratulate the athletes and recognize the effort they made to get the honorable place to participate in the city of Monterrey," said the president of DIF and emphasized that one of the objectives of these events is to achieve integration into society of people with hearing disabilities.
Moreover, footballers in the Category 7-14 will participate in the Children's National Championship to be held in Guadalajara, Jalisco from July 31 to August 3.
