Following is just an overview of all the events and festivities happening this week in Vallarta-Nayarit.
Helen Hong at the Red Room - Tuesday, Friday and Sunday
Direct from New York, Stand-up comedienne, Helen Fong. Star of LOGO TV's SETUP SQUAD and Wanda Sykes' HERLARIOUS. Helen's adorable stage presence and mischievous point of view have landed her on The Huffington Post’s Favorite Female Comedians list and a profile in The New York Times. She’s been featured on Fuse, E!, TLC and PBS.
Catch her performances on December 16-19, 21-23, & 25-26.
Becas Breakfast at La Palapa - Wednesday
Help 400 young Becados (scholarship students) keep receiving their scholarships and enjoy a delicious breakfast.
Join us for breakfast at Restaurant La Palapa on beautiful Los Muertos Beach. Festivities will begin at 9:30 am with breakfast, raffle and a large silent auction.
Our raffle prizes are from the best (and most generous) people of Vallarta’s business section.
Walk Like a Man at Act II Main Stage - Wednesday through Saturday
Walk Like A Man pays tribute to hugely popular New Jersey-based recording stars Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons.
The show features 23 year old singing sensation Paul Fracassi, a former Star Search and Canadian Idol semi-finalist and graduate of Toronto’s famous St. Elizabeth School for The Performing Arts. His vocal range and showmanship are always a big hit.
Walk Like a Man will be presented on the Main Stage of Act II Entertainment at 8:00 pm on December 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 23rd & 24th.
Simply Barbra at The Palm - Thursday and Saturday
Steven Brinberg is an acclaimed vocalist and impressionist who is best known for being the premier impersonator of music legend Barbra Streisand. He literally appears to transform into her, both physically and vocally, in an extraordinary musical experience. So much more than a garden-variety drag performer, his professional performances on stage include Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, and on Broadway in a benefit production of Funny Girl, featuring Whoopi Goldberg. Steven also enjoyed a very successful run at The Palm Cabaret and Bar last season, where he was met with rave reviews.
Steven is thrilled to return to Puerto Vallarta and The Palm with the talented Chris Denny, who will accompany him at the piano. Performances of Simply Barbra will be in the evenings beginning December 18th through January 7th, 2015. All shows begin at 7:00 pm except for the January 7 show at 9:30 pm.
Health Care Info Presentation at Marina de La Cruz - Friday
On Friday, December 19 at 2:00 pm Pamela Thompson will present healthcare information including SkyMed – an emergency evacuation service.
Also presenting is Pamela Bendall, a veteran cruiser in North, Central and South America and the new SkyMed specialist specifically dedicated to cruisers.
Although the presentation is focused on cruisers, the information is applicable to all.
Marsol Market at Los Muertos Pier - Friday
The Marsol Hotel at Los Muertos Pier in Old Town Vallarta is opening up their large lobby every Friday during the 2014-2015 season with the Marsol Market.
Join us every Friday from 9:30 until 2:00 pm.
There will be dozens of your favorite vendors, lots of food in the special food court, art, crafts, jewelry, clothing, decorative items, gifts, toys, Christmas decorations, music and more.
International Festival of Fireworks - Saturday and Sunday
Puerto Vallarta will host the International Festival of Fireworks from December 20 to 31, with participants from four countries: Italy, USA, Canada and Spain; and five Mexican states: Jalisco, Puebla, Zacatecas, Sonora and Mexico State.
As part of the event, multidisciplinary activities, dance, music and painting will be done. The three venues for the fireworks are Los Muertos Pier, Malecon, and the Peninsula.
Sinergiarte Festival in San Pancho, Nayarit - Saturday and Sunday
The Colectivo San Pancho proudly enjoys the return of the hugely successful Sinergiarte Festival, December 20-28. This remarkable artists’ venue has seen over 10 seasons of concerts, art shows and exhibitions and continues to grow each year.
Voice of Vallarta Competition - Sunday
Act II Entertainment has spent the summer and after hundreds of auditions they have narrowed the field to 24 of the best.
The reality show competition season opener was on December 7 and will continue every Sunday at 8:00 pm until the big closing night on April 19, 2015 hosted once again by Juan Pablo Hernandez who turns SPANGLISH into an art form!
Farmers Markets in Vallarta-Nayarit - Every day of the week
You'll see on our Events Calendar that there is at least one Farmers Market every day of the week in different locations around the Bay.
