'Put Yourself in My Place and Not in My Space' Campaign for Disabled Parking Team Angels/Hector Amador Brauer - AZ Noticias | |

This campaign was relaunched due to David de la Rosa Flores, Director of the Municipal DIF, "the priority is that the places of the disabled are respected, and that society is respecting fewer and fewer spaces, making excuses like: I'll move right away, I'll be right back, I'm in a hurry, I'm late, and many more."
Because complaints for not respecting the spaces for the disabled are increasing in the Municipal DIF in Puerto Vallarta, on Tuesday, August 25 the campaign was started of "Put Yourself in My Place and Not in My Space" ("Ponte en mi lugar y no en mi espacio") with the intention of raising awareness in the population that the "blue" spaces are for the disabled because it is more complicated for them to move from one place to another.
Municipal DIF seeks to continue this campaign on a permanent basis and ensure that enforcement is carried out in all public and private parking lots of the city, as well as all the shopping malls.
One intention of this project is that the Municipal DIF will "find people who are parked in places for disabled people and that they will receive a significant fine from Municipal Transit," said the Director of Municipal DIF.
"The priority for us is to address citizen complaints reaching us that people do not respect the spaces of persons with disabilities, which is why we are conducting this campaign to raise awareness among Vallarta to not invade the preferred spaces," said David de la Rosa Flores.
"Put Yourself in My Place and Not in My Space" has the support of Municipal Transit Comudis (Municipal Disability Council), among many more organizations, but there is also an open invitation to any association or government agency that would like to be integrated into this awareness campaign.
The campaign is operating in different parts of Puerto Vallarta to monitor people who do not respect the "blue" spaces with the intention of them being fined for not respecting the preferential spaces.
