Virtual Adoption Program
This is the “Season of Giving” and what a great idea to give the gift of a Virtual Adoption!!
That special cat-loving friend or family member will receive a photo and Thank You from their kitty.
But YOU may receive the best gift of all…..you will know that your donation of $120 (or $10 a month) will go a long way to help us continue our goal of offering a safe haven for these unadoptable felines to live out their lives in dignity.
See a selection of candidates on our website at VIRTUAL ADOPTION.

Adoption News
Adoptions have been very slow this Fall…..only eight since October!
Plaza Marina is usually our best source of adoptions but we only had two there in October and nothing since then. Plus one from Daiquiri Dick’s, one from Facebook and four from the shelter.
The result is we have a nursery fully of adorable kitties who will need to find their Furr-ever Homes before we can continue to accept rescues. Check our Facebook page for photos of some of the kittens or contact Linda at adopt@purrproject.com for more information.
Luca and ManeWe will be just outside the entrance to Daiquiri Dick’s every Saturday from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm. You can meet some kitties and also pick up your 2016 PuRR Project calendar. Plus we have logo T-shirts, caps, drink cozies, dish towels, kitty ears and more for just a small donation.
Marilyn will also be there with tickets to the Fashion Show scheduled for January 12.
Featured Feline – Paloma
This sweet and beautiful Muted Tortie is probably just over a year old. She was rescued by Puro Gato, along with her four tiny babies, after being dumped on the Island in the Cuale River in Old Town Vallarta.
They were able to find homes for the kittens but mama has not been so fortunate. PuRR Project agreed to take her and four other adult rescues from the Isla Cuale. They were all previously sterilized in a “Neuter and Release” program, but all the Island Cats are now in jeopardy due to overpopulation.
Rescue agencies and the Acopio (city pound) are working with the local government but due to the continued dumping of cats, there is no easy solution.
These five will be tested, vaccinated and hopefully adopted. If not, they will live out their lives in the gardens of PuRR after an acclimation period.
If you are interested in adopting Paloma or any of our friendly adult cats, contact Linda at adopt@purrproject.com for more information.
