Altruistic Entrepreneur 2012 Awarded to Local Restauranteurs
As part of the activities of the Jalisco Institute of Social Welfare (IJAS), an award presentation was made to the "Altruistic Entrepreneur 2012."
The Chairman of the North Coast IJAS, Jorge Garcia de Alba Diaz de Sandi, said the Institute strives to promote professionalism and ensure transparency in social welfare with the aim of creating altruistic links between people with the ability to give and the institutions that were created in order to help those less fortunate.
The Altruistic Entrepreneur 2012 award was given to businesswoman Eva Sanchez, owner of the restaurant River Cafe and Chef Thierry Blouet, owner of the restaurants Thierry's in Puerto Vallarta and Punta de Mita, who have a long history of charitable works.
Recognition was also given to the Food Bank, Banco de Alimentos de Puerto Vallarta, for their good works and ensuring the transparency of the resources used in support of the needy.
Finally, the North Coast IJAS Council swore in Juan Arana as Director of Chapter Puerto Vallarta, who promotes altruistic activities between Rotary Clubs and the general public.
The Chairman of the North Coast IJAS acknowledged the joint work done with the Municipal DIF and thanked the First Lady of Puerto Vallarta, Jennifer Serur, for their invaluable support.
