March 7, 2016

Lots of Partyin' • Lots of Dancin' • Dinner • A Little Drinkin' • And a Whole Lot of FUN!

Join Amigos de La Cruz on March 9, 10 and 11 for an evening of fun at the Dinner Show Fundraisers, a Benefit for FREE 3-week Summer School for the La Cruz children.

The evening begins at 5:00 with a Prix Fixe Pre-Theater Dinner at Octopus's Garden. You don't need a reservation so just show up with 200 pesos to enjoy Tossed Salad with Mango-Peach Dressing, Arrachera Fajitas with Zucchini Parmesano, and Bread or Tortillas.

Then, we'll wander across the street for the 6:30 pm show at the former La Cascada Restaurant (61 Coral Street) where your donation tickets of 150 pesos will include the show and 1 wine/beer/or soda. Pastries, Cakes, Spiked Coffee Drinks, Beer, Wine will be available for purchase.

"A Glimpse of the Real Patsy Cline" will star LaDonna Schmidt and Sherry Jacobs.

LaDonna's claim to fame is in Kansas City, where she did a multitude of commercials and community theater. She has sung "Patsy" at Ana Banana's every Sunday night for years. She and her pastor wrote a significant portion of this show, while Sherry rearranged the balance of the program to make it more interactive and audience friendly.

Sherry has acted and sung musical theater for over 30 years. Though basically a classical singer she is getting "her feet wet" singing "Patsy." Sherry is a published children's book author, having written over 50 children's stories for which she story-tells to kids of all ages. She hails from Bailey, Colorado. Sherry wants everyone to join in and have fun, while raising money for the Summer School in La Cruz.

There is limited seating of 50 guests per night for the show, so get your tickets early by contacting Joan Gil by telephone at (322) 182-1161 or by email at giljoan6@gmail.com. Also selling tickets: Steve Cross, Shannon Morrelli, LaDonna Schmidt and Sherry Jacobs.
