Human Connections is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded on the notion that seeing the world from diverse perspectives inspires vision, innovation, and action towards lasting social change. Our work starts with our clients — low-income artisans, tradespeople, and business owners in Latin America. We connect them directly with international markets for increased economic opportunity.

Day of the Dead Raffle!

We are celebrating the holiday by raffling off handmade art! Colorful skulls, called "calaveras" in Spanish, are typically made out of sugar and used to decorate Day of the Dead shrines across Mexico. Our talented artisan partner, Leonarda, makes her skulls by arranging beads over beeswax-coated clay.

These Huichol pieces are valued at US$100 and made to last a lifetime. The money raised will be used directly for programs that empower our clients.

Online Store Launch

We are so excited to announce the opening of our new online store! Customers can now buy directly from our artisan partners from anywhere around the world, providing crucial support for our clients' businesses during the low tourism season.

Through your purchases, you are empowering our clients and their families, while strengthening Human Connection's social programming. Each product offered is handmade and many can be customized. Visit our store here!

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this initiative happen!

Tour Season Kick-Off

Last tour season we channelled over US$12,000 into our clients' hands through our educational tours and programs, and we know that with your support this number can grow in the coming season. Sign up for one of our tours here!

We are also announcing a new cooking workshop with our client, Omar! This 2-hour evening experience connects groups of travelers with a local family. You will cook together and gain insight about each other’s culture while sharing a delicious Mexican meal. Click here for more details.

Internship Opportunities

This winter break, Human Connections will be hosting an intensive internship program from December 28th - January 15th. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about social entrepreneurship, Mexican culture, and international development through hands-on projects and discussions.

This is a great opportunity for any student who is looking to gain practical skills to further their career prospects.

Applications are open until November 18th. Read more here!
