January 27, 2017

Please join us for the Casa Connor Open House on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.

For your convenience, round trip bus service will be provided from the Sam's Club parking area (across from the Cruise Dock) at 9:00 am.

We'll have facility tours where you can meet the staff and learn more about our developmental programs, services, donor options and benefits. The Snack Bar will be open for food and beverage purchases.

Casa Connor was created as a living legacy to honor the life of 15-year-old Connor Vanderveen, who died in 2011 of complications related to Hunter Syndrome and is a new 2 story earthquake proof facility operated by Pasitos de Luz. Located in El Pitillal, Pasitos de Luz is a day care facility for children with special needs. This non-profit organization provides children with various handicaps with a caring and loving environment, along with treatment for individual rehabilitation, nutritional meals, physical stimulation and therapy. With a focus on serving and enriching the lives of children with physical and mental disabilities in the Puerto Vallarta area, Casa Connor is an extension of Pasitos de Luz, providing the facilities and services that allow these kids to receive all the therapy they require - free of charge.

Casa Connor was donated to Pasitos de Luz as a facility that will allow us to increase services and provide an environment that will have the space and equipment to better serve a increased number of special needs children and their families.

Casa Connor was built through the generosity of Peter and Teena Oudman and an amazing number of people who donated time, effort and funds. Sincerest thanks, gratitude and our hearts go out to those donors who made the dream come true and, in turn, donated the facility to Pasitos de Luz: Eagle Wings, Bachas Restaurant, Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta, Now Amber Puerto Vallarta, Brian Collins family, Weenings family, Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church in Calgary and to the many more anonymous and other donors.

Please confirm your attendance to info@pasitosdeluz.org. For more information, visit Pasitos de Luz on Facebook.
