Following is just an overview of all the events and festivities happening this week in Vallarta-Nayarit.

Brittany Kingery at Act II - Monday

Act II Entertainment is excited to welcome back the one-and-only, chart-topping, award-winning, Darling of Vallarta, Brittany Kingery, this season! Every Monday evening, Brittany will bring her sweet, soaring voice and all-live band, appearing as a HEADLINE singer on the Red Room Stage. Originally from Washington state, now residing in Vallarta, her critically-acclaimed original and cover songs have been inspired by her experiences and life here in Mexico! She has also earned quite a reputation with huge accolades from her many fans of Troprock and Acoustic music.

Performances every Monday until April 24 at 7:30 pm.

Fiestas de Mayo - Monday through Sunday

We invite you to enjoy the May Festivities (Fiestas de Mayo) of the Church of the Holy Cross, Colonia Emiliano Zapata on the corner of Lazaro Cardenas and Aguacate Streets from April 23 to May 3.

Join the parade starting at Los Muertos Pier at 7:30 pm on April 25th and terminating at the Church where the outdoor stage is located.

Every evening you will be entertained with different folk groups from Mexico and other countries such as Colombia, Chile and Peru.

Have fun while participating and helping to preserve a wonderful Mexican tradition of Church and neighbourhood working together. Admission is free.

Elvis Tribute at Dz Route 66 Diner - Tuesday

Rob has performed many of Elvis' songs so often, he has the delivery and moves down pat. Rob growls on the lowest notes and if you close your eyes, you murmur: Is Elvis back again?

You are able to see Rob Knight at D'z Diner every Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Consider coming early for some tasty food.

Honky Tonks to Bobby Socks Tribute - Wednesday

To finish of the winter season, Mikki Prost has brought her three shows together for the first time, singing songs of Patsy, Brenda and Connie. She deigned a marvelous show mixing highlights of the three shows she presented this season: Paying tribute to three ladies of 50's/60's who shaped the music field forever: Patsy Cline, Brenda Lee and Connie Francis.

You can catch Mikki Prost in Honky Tonks to Bobby Socks at the Boutique Theatre on April 19 26 with dinner at 6:30 pm and the show at 7:30.

Cuisine of the Sun Festival - Wednesday through Saturday

When Villa La Estancia Riviera Nayarit debuted its Cuisine of the Sun International Food & Wine Festival in 2016, attendees displayed their support for “seconds.”

The AAA Four Diamond beachfront resort’s general manager, Oliver Coupat, notes that he was overwhelmed by the outstanding performances and energetic demonstrations put on by the festival’s star-studded line up. “The supreme talents of each of the chefs, sommeliers and mixologists made the five-day Cuisine of the Sun Festival a true success. And we are genuinely grateful for each of their contributions,” says Coupat. “We are so happy to have been able to share it with our friends and valued guests.”

Villa La Estancia will continue to elevate the Vallarta region’s stellar culinary resume with an encore performance slated for April 26-29. Attesting to its appeal are not only repeat performances by many of 2016’s participants, but a roster seasoned with newbies as well.

Folkloric Dance Festival - Thursday through Sunday

If you're lucky enough to be in Puerto Vallarta between April 27 and May 7, you'll be treated to the 11th International Folkloric Dance Festival.

Dance troups from Mexico and South America come together for ten days of incredible performances in sharing the repertoire and traditional dress of the regions they represent.

The festivities begin with a parade on Thursday, April 27 at 6:00 which begins at Los Arcos on the Malecon and heads north to the Stadium where a Welcome Party will be held at around 7:00 to greet the more than 600 dance participants.

CVIS Surf-A-Thon Fundraiser - Saturday

Surf's Up for the 10th Annual Surf-A-Thon benefit for Costa Verde International School of Sayulity on Saturday, April 29, 2017.

The action will begin at the Main Break in Sayulita at 9:00 am and end around 1:00 pm.

Vallarta Yacht Club Fundraiser - Saturday

The Vallarta Yacht Club invites you to join in on the fun at the Junior Sailing Program Fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, April 29 at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:30.

There are lots of great items on the auction block along with dinner and a few surprises!

We will have a Live and Silent auction along with a raffle.

Downhill Urban Cycling Competition - Saturday and Sunday

The Tourism Trust of Puerto Vallarta and Altius Events are proud to announce the first edition of Down Puerto Vallarta 2017 on April 29 and 30.

The best national and international professional cyclists will race down a spectacular track from above Puerto Vallarta at the Cerro de la Cruz (Antennas) with the urban cycling including steep descents, stairs, narrow alleys, ramps and incredible jumps as they travel through Downtown Vallarta towards the Malecon.

Practice sessions will take place on Saturday, April 29 and the competition will be on Sunday, April 30. Some streets will be closed off during the practice and competition. Activities will begin at 4:30 pm on both days.

Beers, Boys & Burgers Pool Party - Sunday

Want to see hot guys in swimwear every Sunday? And top off that view with unlimited juicy burgers and cold beer? Then our Beers, Boys & Burgers event at Hotel Mercurio is your perfect Sunday Funday!

Every Sunday, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, the pool at the Hotel Mercurio is the hottest scene in the city for hot guys in their sexiest swimwear making it a favorite hangout for both residents and visitors.
