For the second consecutive year, Puerto Vallarta will host the "Barceló Double Weekend Challenge," an event for lovers of crossfit and physical training, which will have the natural beauty of the Mismaloya area.

The event will be held from October 26 to 29, 2017, with its headquarters in the Hotel Barcelo Puerto Vallarta, located in one of the most renowned beaches in Puerto Vallarta, Mismaloya.

The event will be divided into five parts, this will be held on the beach of the hotel, as well as on the esplanade of the establishment, which will be held in pairs, which will start on Thursday and culminate on Sunday.

The "Barceló Double Weekend Challenge 2017" is organized by businessman Edgar Cornejo, with the support of the Office of Conventions and Visitors of Puerto Vallarta (OCV), for the realization of sporting events.

Through a press bulletin, the OCV indicated that this type of event seeks to increase hotel occupancy, the economic pumping for the city and the exercise of social responsibility actions for the tourist destination.

It was also reported that it was decided to carry out the event for the second consecutive time, in compliance with the results obtained in 2016 and the increase in the interest of foreign participants.

There will be four main categories in which athletes can participate: Beginners, RX, Intermediate and Master. So far, 184 participants have been registered and a minimum of 250 is expected.
