Volunteers helping to put food packages together

Dear Friends,

Our beloved Vallarta community is facing a crises with many people out of work due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are in the process of setting up a permanent and legalized non-profit food bank for Vallarta and surrounding areas, and we need your help.

"With more than 160 food packs we delivered/handed out today, it looks like we will need to have better transportation for supplies and deliveries. If anyone knows someone with a 4x4 old truck that they're not using and might consider donating or selling it for a cheap price, please let us know. Currently, we're using our old cars for shopping and they're quite small."

"A tough, long day today (April 1, 2020). Totally worth it! 160 families will have food on the table tonight. Because of YOU. We are only able to do this because of all the lovely people that have been donating money, supplies, and time! We went out this morning with DIF to deliver 50 despensas for at risk seniors at the Vallarta DIF senior day centers. Working with Maestra Davalos from DIF is always wonderful. She works very hard for the people of Vallarta."

We're teaming up with Jimmy Plouff and Frankie Victoria for purchasing and distributing at their warehouse.

We're also working closely with DIF (Desarrollo Integral de la Familia), a government agency for the under-provileged adults and children in the area.

Currently, the food bank is open between 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We also do deliveries to surrounding areas as needed.

The Food Bank is located at Rio de la Plata 379, Lopez Mateos, Puerto Vallarta.
