Responsible Businesses of San Pancho

We want to congratulate the three new businesses that form part of our Responsible Businesses of San Pancho program.

Thank you to San Pancho Rentals, La Cervecería, and San Pancho Co-Work for ensuring that their service and waste practices are sustainable and environmentally friendly!

If you own a business here in San Pancho that separates their waste and would like to be part of this program and receive recognition for your environmental practices on our website and social media platforms, please send an email to info@entreamigos.org.mx.

Supporting Virtual Learning

We are so grateful to have our new Tech Center up and running! A HUGE thank you to ECO (www.eco.com) who donated 15 computers, 15 surge protectors and an AC unit to make this possible. Another HUGE thank you to Sayulita Wifi for their support with high-speed internet. And yet another HUGE thank you to Spark Ventures who provided funds for furniture, computer covers and internet installation equipment.

We are so incredibly grateful that we can continue to provide access to computers and internet for the students of San Pancho. If you or your child needs to use a computer for educational purposes, find out how by emailing info@entreamigos.org.mx.

Creative Women's Group Learns a New Trade

We are excited to announce that the members of our Creative Women’s Group have now been trained in silk screening, as well as glass cutting, and are ready to take your orders. Special thanks to Ivan for his incredible silk screening workshop for the women in this group! If you would like to have T-shirts printed or glasses cut, please email info@entreamigos.org.mx to place your order.

There will also be an upcoming silk-screening workshop open to the public. You can join a workshop, while sponsoring another woman in the community. This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill and give back at the same time!

More Recycling!

Many thanks to our recycling team that collect and separate recycled waste every day. This program relies on their hard work. Since we opened in October, we have recycled 4,488lbs of plastic and 440lbs of cardboard. YOU can help us out by crushing your cans and plastic bottles as well as cleaning them out. We reduce our carbon footprint by crushing the recyclables, taking up less space, so we can send more to recycling center on each trip.

Fall Library Fundraising Drive

Thank you to all those who attended the virtual library fundraiser! We truly appreciate the support of this incredible community. Since we opened on October 11th there have already been 169 kids and adults taking 14 different workshops, 275 books checked out, 216 books read in our library, and 943 games borrowed from our front desk. That’s the impact of just one month!

Don't worry if you weren't able to make the virtual fundraiser. The fall library campaign is still happening through the 20th if you would still like to donate. Visit books.givesmart.com to help out.

Upcoming Community Day

As many of you know, the public middle school has not been able to begin with in-person classes due to the vandalism that they suffered during the pandemic. Fortunately, several community members have already begun to help. To continue this effort, Entreamigos, along with Ryan Simmons and Diego Alonzo, and 20 other local donors, have raised the money to complete necessary electrical work, plumbing, and buy the remainder of the paint supplies to get these student back to school.

On Wednesday, November 17th, Entreamigos will be closing our doors so all staff can help paint and clean at the middle school. The more hands the better, this is an opportunity to help! Come to the middle school at 9am ready to paint.
