As most of you have experienced in the past 2 years, the cost of living in Puerto Vallarta has increased significantly - 6.7% in the past year with a similar increase in the prior year.

Not only have expenses increased for RISE, but they have also increased for our loving and caring staff. We have not been able to provide an appropriate pay increase for them in the past 2 years to help them with their bills at home – as a result we have lost staff members due to their need to earn more money and for them support their own families.

Continuous change in our staff is not healthy for our children, as they need structure and stability, thus the introduction of this new campaign.

Many of our staff make $200 – $280 pesos ($10-$14 USD) a DAY. We would like to increase those earning at these low wages by 10%. The ‘Need our Nannies’ campaign is to help generate monthly recurring donations that will help us pay our staff more appropriately – no donation is too little.

We cannot be without these valuable women who fill in as the mother role to all of our RISE children.

We have built a family with our staff and want to keep them close – thank you for helping us do so.

R.I.S.E. uses your donations to pay for education and operations. Research shows that children have better outcomes here in private schools and we make every effort to place our children in them or in special needs schools in some cases.
