November 2, 2012

This is the fourth season of the Sayulita Farmers' Market, and lots of new changes, including location, are in store for the season.

This is the only Farmers' Market in Nayarit, and they have collaborated with the Saturday, Puerto Vallarta market, the Sunday, La Cruz market, and the Monday, Bucerias market. This year the market is truer to the idea of a farmers' market with significantly more local and organic produce. Of course, all your old favorites will be returning as well!

The Farmers' Market will begin today, Friday, November 2, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, in its new location on Calle Miramar off of Revolución across from Lolita's Hostel. It is in the former camping area, now the location of Sayulita's mayor.

This year there will be 35 vendors, including 4 new organic local farmers that will be growing specifically for the farmers' market!

This will also be the first year they offer raw milks, almond milk, organic fertilizers, and seeds or plants to start your own garden. There will be a new organic, smoked meats vendor with homemade cured salami sausages, and there is an expanded variety of homemade breads and local cheeses.

All your favorite creams, oils, tinctures, coffee, and natural foods will be returning, including Organic Superfoods. Terranol will bring organic and natural cleaning products.

There will also be a section just for the non-profits of Sayulita: Sayulitanimals, Costa Verde International School, EntreAmigos, and the Huichol Center.

To make the day a fun experience, live music will play every week!

November 2nd, from 10:00 - 2:00 will kick off the market on Dia de los Muertos. A local baker will make pan de Muertos and it will be passed out to all who arrive early! The Tsunamis will be providing that day's music. So come out, have an entertaining afternoon, find all your favorite foods and products, and support the Sayulita Farmers' Market. If you're not in town yet, don't worry the market will be every Friday, from 10:00 - 2:00 until the end of April.

See you there!
