New Animal Shelter:
As you know we are hard at work finishing our new animal shelter and anxious to get opened! However, there are still lots of items needed to complete our project.
We expect to be finished with the basic construction in 4 weeks and as soon as we receive these supplies and have them installed we can open!!
Here’s How YOU Can Help!!!!!
• 24 Overhead fans
• 2 Toilets
• 6 Sinks (lavadores)
• Plumbing fixtures for toilets and sinks (faucets, etc.)
• Washer and Dryer
• Metal or plastic benches.
• Desk for office
• Chairs for office
• Microwave
• 2 small refrigerators
• Stainless steel cabinets for supplies in examination and surgery rooms.
• Electrical sockets and light switches
• Door knobs
• Door hinges
• Lots of canvas awning material
• Floor tiles
• Ceramic tiles
We are in desperate need of these items to complete the shelter so if you can help with any of these items, PLEASE contact: janice@haciendasanangel.com to make donations.
Position Available:
We are seeking a reliable individual who has a truck and can assist us on adoption days. This person would be responsible for picking up animals at the SPCA shelter each Saturday around 9:30 a.m. and transporting them to Biblioteca Los Mangos no later than 10:00 a.m.and the Farmers Market in Old Town. A return trip back to the shelter would be necessary later that same day, leaving at approximately 2:00 pm.
The SPCA will pay $400 pesos for the day.

Auction Items:
As you know, we have our major annual fund raiser at the end of this month on November 26. This is our big opportunity to raise funds necessary to support us through the year. In addition to monies raised from ticket sales, we count on attendees bidding for items that have been donated.
We really need help coming up with donations for the live auction. If you or your business can provide the SPCA with a donation item it would be greatly appreciated.
The most successful auction items include hotel stay and restaurants. If you can help, please contact: Janice@haciendasanangel.com
Farmers Market:
Sweet kitty Helen and adorable lab puppy, Charley were much admired by visitors to the Market. We took 970 pesos plus $35 USD in donations and calendar sales. Many thanks to those who contributed! Thanks also to our dedicated volunteers Mark, Madeline, Lynnette and Maria de los Angeles.
Los Mangos Library:
The library was quiet today. No dogs were ready for adoption but we still have seven beautiful cats. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the generous donation of $1850, including Debra ($1300) Jeff Tunkas ($500). Huge thanks to the dedicated volunteers, Luz, Livia, Shannon, Debra, Sandra, Angela, Lily, Lina and Juan Carlos. Thanks also to Shara Reade for donating shampoo, collar, leash and combs. Jeff Tunkas also rescued a small dog, Lucas, who will be ready for adoption soon. Thanks, Jeff!

Adoptions are also held each Saturday at the Farmer’s Market, located within El Jardin de Ninos Emiliano Zapata. This school is located on the west side of Pino Suarez between V. Carranza and B. Badillo.
We invite you to add your charity or supporting organizations' news stories and coming events to PVAngels so we can share them with the world. Do it now!
