Casa de las Flores, a landmark Vallarta-style home, will host a benefit art exhibition for the disabled children served by Pasitos de Luz, a local non-profit shelter, on Wednesday, January 16, 4:00 -7:00 pm.
Guests can purchase art produced by the child artists of Pasitos de Luz Day Care Center for Special Needs Children, along with Cuban art collected by the homeowners.
In addition, local artist Marcella Lepe will display her paintings along with those of her famous father, Manuel Lepe.
All the art will be discounted by at least 20 percent, and 15 percent of gallery sales on January 16 will be donated to Pasitos de Luz.
Casa de las Flores is a must-visit home, particularly between December and February, when its 30 year-old copa de oro tree is in full bloom.
A 100 peso donation at the door provides additional funding for Pasitos de Luz and entitles visitors to gourmet appetizers provided by Esquina de los Caprichos, Gilmar Restaurant, Lido Beach Café and The Swedes.
Casa de Las Flores is located at Amapas 359, south of Hotel Tropicana, in Old Town Vallarta. For more information, please contact Jeff Jackson at (322) 120-5242.
