About Us

With the same passion that broker Tere Kimball has for her profession in real estate, she rescues dogs and cats in the Puerto Vallarta area. At her own expense she has been actively rescuing animals in need since 2006.

In most instances, Tere has been successful in finding forever homes in the area, or with the help of friends and other rescue groups has been able to send her charges to wonderful homes in Canada and the United States. Unfortunately, some rescues are found in such bad conditions, they cannot be saved but are sent over the Rainbow Bridge in Tere's arms.

All PV Pooch rescues go to their forever homes in the best health they can be. They are all assessed, treated as required, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. This process sometimes takes between 3 to 6 months so Tere is constantly looking for support in terms of of foster homes and/or other needed resources (e.g. food).

Tere adopts her dogs for a fee that covers only the medical costs and travel. She will gratefully accept donations of food or money with all money going directly to paying veterinary bills.

Tere knows she could not do this alone and recognizes the following: DINO Rescue in Calgary, Angel at Tibet Canino, Straight Outta Rescue in Vancouver, MexPup, CAARE in Vancouver, Friends of Puerto Vallarta Animals, Ted and Brischa from Hacienda Las Animas. She especially wants to thank her personal network of foster homes.

Also special thanks to Dr. Manuel Pena and his staff at Mascotas Vet Clinic in Puerto Vallarta. Dr. Pena and his staff has been providing service to Tere's own pets and her rescues for over 14 years.
