La Brigada de la Basura is an education project directed at the local kids to keep the neighborhood clean.

Every Saturday mourning, we give the kids plastic bags and plastic gloves and take them around the neighborhood picking up trash. Afterwards we give them hotdogs, chips and a drink.
 
We also give them small gifts and gave them all a Brigada de La Basura T-Shirt.

While the work around our neighborhood is never done, we're looking into expanding our project. We'd love to bring our kids as well as kids from all over the city on a special outing every once in a while and clean up beaches or other special places. What we need to realize this is transportation. If you know of anybody who would be able/willing to "donate" safe and reliable transportation for up to 100 children, please let us know.

Taking responsibility for the cleanliness of our environment, they meet every Saturday to clean up the local river banks and barrio streets. They can use your support and assistance. You can help with toys, your time, supplies or your donations.

We welcome any donations at the Que Pasa Bar/Restaurant, plastic bags, plastic gloves and small gifts (toys).
