One group of cyclists is getting outside this weekend to allow those in need a chance to get inside. Bike riders from the group 207 Miles took off from Peoria Saturday morning to ride - you guessed it - 207 miles to Rocky Point, Mexico.

The two-day trek is all in support of raising money to build homes in Mexico and other parts of Latin America.

Founders Ian and Erin Long say they started the organization and event simply out of their passion for both cycling and helping others, especially when poverty is so close to home. They're hoping to raise awareness that safety is possible near the border and in Mexico and that there are problems that need to be solved nearby.
