Fans were lined up on the ground floor of Galerias Vallarta for photo ops and autographs of Vanina Walsh, Chloe Calmon and Katie McLean, international stars of stand-up-paddle and surf fame.
These popular and beautiful extreme athletes are from Brazil, Hawaii and Santa Barbara and have just competed in the Fourth Annual Punta Sayulita Longboard and Stand-Up Paddle Classic.
It was an evening of enjoyable conviviality in which Galerias Vallarta provided the public of Puerto Vallarta with the opportunity to meet and converse with these young stars.
Vanina Walsh was born in Hawaii and is an international athlete of stand-up-paddle, short board and skate board. Vanina is sponsored by the ROXY brand of designer clothes. Some of her tournament victories include:
• Stand Up Paddle World Tour Hawaii 2012, 2nd Place in Women's Division
• Battle of the Paddle California 2011, 1st Place in Youth Division
• Battle of the Paddle Hawaii 2011, 1st Place in Youth Division
• Hawaii Nose Riding Championship 2010, 1st Place
• Starboard International Dream Team Member
• Punta Sayulita Longboard and Stand-Up Paddle Classic 2013, 1st Place Women's SUP Surf
Chloe Calmon is originally from Brazil, and is a global model of the ROXY designer clothing line. She has won various tournaments in Brazil, United States and different parts of the world. She competed in the Punta Sayulita Longboard and Stand-Up Paddle Classic 2013 where she had an excellent participation and walked away with 1st Place in the Women's Longboard competition.
Katie McLean hails from Santa Barbara, California, and is a winning surfing athlete of the contest held for 4 months entitled "Let the Sea Set You Free," in which young people are invited to live a unique experience. The video of the event successfully shows creativity, enthusiasm and inspiration, featuring the ROXY brand of clothing. Katie took 2nd Place in the 2.2K Women's Fun Race at the Punta Sayulita Longboard and Stand-Up Paddle Classic 2013.
