Las Palomas Restaurant in Marina Vallarta is donating 50% of dinner proceeds on Thursday, May 16, 2013, to the Biblioteca Los Mangos (Puerto Vallarta Public Library).
NO tickets needed and they are having a special menu, with a choice of 3 entrees, for just 120 pesos.
So, if you haven't been to Las Palomas for a while, or not tried it, this is the time to go. If you are a regular, this is the night to go.
The Library receives no funding from any government source so it must fund its total operations from public donations and fundraisers.
The Library, which began in 1996, is now seeing over 6,000 users monthly.
As well as providing over 30,000 books in Spanish and English, the Library also offers art, language, dance and music classes, plus offers summer classes for the young locals.
One of the great programs offered at the Library is the Children's Reading Club, aimed at children from ages 7-12. This free activity takes place every Thursday at 5:00 in the Children's Room (Sala Infantil) where through simple and attractive dynamics, children practice their concentrating capacity, analytical thinking and critical sense, while their imagination lets them immerse into stories where they can be heroes, villains, scientists, princesses, explorers… anyway, anything they want to be.
In addition, this club promotes respect, tolerance and companionship, while planting in them the idea of turning to literature as a valuable resource for their development and a fun alternative to enjoy their free time.
Las Palomas Restaurant & Mexican Cantina is located at Av. Paseo de la Marina 121, #9-10, in Marina Vallarta. Telephone is (322) 222-3675 and email is email@example.com.
We hope to see you at Las Palomas on May 16 at 6:30 pm until closing to enjoy a delicious meal while supporting a great cause.
We invite you to add your charity or supporting organizations' news stories and coming events to PVAngels so we can share them with the world. Do it now!
