Punta Sayulita is pleased to welcome to the Beach House former pro-surfer and environmental awareness leader, James Pribram.  This will be a continuation of Punta Sayulita's Environmental Education Speaker Series.

James' presentation will cover various topics and experiences around the world including his participation with the paddle out along with other surfers at "The Cove" in Taji, Japan, which successfully brought attention to the seasonal dolphin killing in Japan and led to the Academy Award winning documentary movie, The Cove.

The presentation is open to the public with a suggested minimum donation of 100 pesos to support the Punta Sayulita Foundation Environmental Educational Programs.

James Pribram, "The Eco Warrior", will be at the Punta Sayulita Beach House (on the beach next to Don Pedro's), at 6:30 pm on Thursday, January 19. This event will benefit the Punta Sayulita Foundation Environmental Education Programs.

Writing a check to the Surfrider Foundation and putting a "member" sticker on your car is one thing. Noble as it may be, risking life and limb to protect and save our oceans and beaches takes a bit more commitment.

Meet Laguna Beach's James Pribram, aka "the Eco Warrior". From legalizing surfing in the Windy City to protesting Chilean pulp mills to paddling through BP's muck in the Gulf, Pribram takes pride in putting himself on the front lines of some of surfing's more serious environmental disasters.

Join us for an intimate evening and slide show presentation with the man known as "The Eco Warrior".

Who Is James Pribram? James Pribram is a Laguna Beach native, professional surfer, John Kelly Environmental Award winner and recipient of the 2010 Laguna Beach Patriots Day Athlete of the Year Award. His written work has appeared in the LA Times, Surfer's Path, Surfing, Surfer, Water and numerous additional publications worldwide.

He is an active environmental leader in his community where he has served on the Laguna Beach Water Quality and Environmental Committees. He co-founded Eco Warrior, a grass roots organization which is dedicated to protecting oceans, beaches and sea life worldwide.
