Engage Mexico Media Conference to Include Power Walk for SPCA Vallarta PR Log

Engage Mexico is producing its 5th Social Media Conference in Puerto Vallarta, the 14th - 17th of November, 2013, at the Sheraton Resort and Conference Center. On Sunday of the event, Engage Mexico will host a Power Walk to benefit the SPCA of Puerto Vallarta.

The Power Walk is open to conference attendees and all lovers of pets.

This is the 5th four day conference produced by Engage Mexico specializing in Social Media Marketing (and supported by the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board). Attendees are Community Managers who handle the online marketing for business wishing to capitalize on the Mexican growth market.

Armando Contreras, Development Director for Engage Mexico stated, "Our conference is about educating and assisting businesses in Mexico and those wishing to do business in Mexico. As part of our involvement in Puerto Vallarta we wish to promote non-profit charities that support this fine city."

On Sunday, the 17th of November, 2013, Engage Mexico, Social Media Conference #5 will hold a Power Walk for conference attendees and anyone else wishing to walk and support animals in Puerto Vallarta. Proceeds from the registration for this event will be donated to the SPCA of Puerto Vallarta.

Janice Gonzalez tells us about the SPCA PV: "SPCA was founded here in Puerto Vallarta in 2007 by a long term resident originally from California, Janice Chatterton. Last year alone we rescued and found homes for 205 animals. In January 2012 we opened our gorgeous new sanctuary outside of town. We are a no-kill shelter and can house approximately 65 animals at once.

SPCA de PV is not supported by the government, corporations, foundations or businesses. Donations are always needed.  The dogs here are too often found living on the streets after being discarded and/or extremely abused. We devote ourselves to their physical and emotional rehabilitation and invite everyone to come and interact with the animals at our shelter.

Our mission is helping animals one PAW at a time...Together we are the SPCA Puerto Vallarta Sanctuary!"

The mission of SPCA de PV is to help fund and promote sterilization, adoption and healthcare efforts for companion animals in the Puerto Vallarta area, with the goal of eliminating the euthanasia of healthy and adoptable animals. Monies raised will support these various goals in ways that are most feasible within the community.

Please come join us Sunday, the 17th of November, 2013, in front of the Sheraton Resort in the Hotel Zone of Puerto Vallarta. Open Registration begins at 7:30 am and the walk starts promptly at 8:00 am. Registration fee including a commemorative shirt is 150 pesos. Pets are welcome to walk their owners along the easy, flat, 3k loop, beginning and ending at the Sheraton Resort and Conference Center.
