National Disaster Preparedness Presentation in PV
Kelly Trainor - US Consular Agent Vallarta
September 12, 2013
A natural disaster can happen anytime. Few disasters give warning. Once a disaster happens, the time to prepare is gone and all you can do is cope. The best time to learn what YOU NEED TO PREPARE is NOW.
PV Municipal Civil Protection and Firefighters in conjunction with the American & Canadian Consular Agencies of Puerto Vallarta extend a cordial invitation to attend a special presentation (in English) on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at 10:00 am.
This important and informative event will take place at O’Rourke & Associates – "O & A" Theatre/Salon (Plaza Marina, in Marina Vallarta) next door to Scotia Bank.
The reason for this presentation is to make sure our citizens are prepared in the event of an emergency situation, such as the 1985
massive earthquake that hit Mexico City, and we all learned was how ill prepared the country and people were for a natural disaster.
Since that time, one week every year is "Civil Protection Week" dedicated to educating the community through simulations and presentations for disaster preparedness.
Don’t miss the opportunity to come and learn from those who will be "in charge" in the event of a disaster.
Did you know about the Puerto Vallarta Municipal Office dedicated to the Attention and Assistance for Tourists and Foreign Residents (OAATRE)? A short introduction to their location and services will also be presented. This is an important contact when you want your voice to be heard by the local authorities.
Space is limited so make your reservation right away by calling (322) 176-0770 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope to see you there.
