Join us to experience respectful encounters with the Humpback whales, dolphins and other pelagic marine species that call Banderas Bay home with our Respectful Whale Watching Expedition Benefiting Local Charities.

Deep Blue Conservancy teams up with Ocean Friendly Tours for this event to benefit Canica Puerto Vallarta (Children with Cancer) and our local library, Los Mangos Biblioteca.

Los Mangos Biblioteca is a true and vital "community center" and provides local culture, books, movies and specialized programs for the people of Puerto Vallarta. The new Children's Library (Esquina de Sally) promises to bring even more children through the Los Mangos doors. Tour date to benefit Los Mangos Biblioteca is February 18, 2012.

Canica is a non-profit organization devoted to providing much needed medical treatment and social services to the children of Vallarta affected with cancer who otherwise might not be able to receive these types of services. Please view the video here  to see the faces of those benefiting from the services provided by Canica. Tour dates to benefit Canaca are March 4 and March 19, 2012.

These charity cruises will be led by a marine scientist and specialized bilingual crew.

The official whale watching season in Puerto Vallarta runs from December 8th through March 23rd.

Discover the marvels of the whale world on board the customized fiberglass boats and listen to their tonal songs with our hydrophone and speaker system.

The tour will depart at 8:30 am for the 4 to 5 hour cruise. Please meet us at the Los Peines Pier at 8:00 am for a complete tour briefing before departure. Los Peines Pier is located about 20 minutes away in a taxi from downtown. As a reference for the driver, the entrance to the pier is right next to Puerto Iguana and the Navy Hospital.

Please refer to our After Booking Info page  on the Ocean Friendly website for important instructions regarding your tour.

Once you get to Los Peines Pier, the guards at the entrance will ask you which boat you will be boarding, it is the "Cielito Lindo" for the library tour and Twin. Also, you will be asked to pay a federal fee for the use of the port facilities, it is 20 pesos per person, please have Mexican currency available for this purpose. This donation is used for Los Peines Pier area maintenance, upkeep and improvements.

The donation for the Charity Cruise is $95 USD per person. Please email us to check availability before booking the tour. Your e-mail will be responded to within one business day and you will be free to make your payment online. Office hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily (Central Time). Requests received after hours will be processed the next business day. After receiving your confirmation, you can book online on the Ocean Friendly site, scroll down to the Respectful & Responsible Whale Watching Expedition, enter the confirmed date and Add to Cart.
