Hello friends and supporters,
This year, Friends of Puerto Vallarta Animals is introducing our first ever Holiday Bed Drive! The season of giving is not only for fellow humans, but also for the less fortunate animals that are in the care of shelters over the holidays.
The Acopio (Puerto Vallarta Animal Pound) operates on a very limited budget and relies entirely on donations to feed and care for the animals. Fundraising allows us to assist with food, vaccines and medical treatment for the hundreds of dogs and cats that come through their door each year.
A soft, durable and washable bed sounds like a luxury item to a shelter that is often short on the basics, however, there are many health benefits that must not be overlooked due to the unique raised bed design. Keeping the animals off the wet (and often soiled) cement floor keeps them cleaner and healthier. A comfortable place to sleep reduces anxiety and encourages relaxation. These benefits all contribute to a healthier, happier and more adoptable pet!
A Kuranda bed donation is a great way to help the Acopio animals while crossing off the animal lover on your Christmas list! Simply indicate the name of the person who you are purchasing the bed for in the Gift Dedication section. A Gift Acknowledgment card will be sent to them by Kuranda.
All beds ship for just $5 until the end of January, and go directly to a generous volunteer in California who has graciously offered to transport them to Puerto Vallarta.
