Following is just an overview of all the events and festivities happening this week in Vallarta-Nayarit.
Savor & Musik Fest in La Cruz - Every Day
The Festival Savor & Musik that will begin Monday, December 9th with a Kick-off celebration at the glorieta (roundabout @ Calle Coral and Av. Langosta) at 7:00 pm. Starting at 8:00 pm, four different groups will perform at four different restaurants.
On Tuesday and running through Saturday, four different restaurants will feature two bands each with 7:00 and 8:00 pm sets.
Sunday will be a day-long music fest in the central Plaza in La Cruz starting at 2:00 in the afternoon, with different music acts every 45 minutes.
Lady of Guadalupe Festival - Monday thru Thursday
Festivities and processions during the first twelve days of December each year involve tens of thousands of Puerto Vallarta inhabitants and visitors, who pay homage to commemorate the appearance of the Virgin Mary to the peasant Juan Diego on December 12, 1531.
The streets of Puerto Vallarta come alive with traditional parades and other festivities in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The colorful festival combines both ancient Aztec and modern Christian symbolism, with dance groups performing in the streets.
Shades of the Blues Season II - Tuesday
Join Mikki Prost at the Boutique Theater in Old Town Vallarta on Tuesday, December 10.
If you caught Mikki's Shades of the Blues last year, you'll want to return for this season with new songs and costumes and a very special surprise.
Bucerias Farmers Market - Wednesday
The highly successful Bucerias Farmers Market is located at Rosa Mexicano restaurant on Lazaro Cardenas #90B.
The Tercerea Edad ladies sell their organic papayas alongside the Library selling their beautiful calendars.
There is a great selection of granola, honey, Royal jelly, Greek yogurt, bagels and pastrami, English pies and pasties, smoked meat and fish, coconut, jams and jellies, salsas, chilaquiles, agua fresca, nuts and candies, french patisserie, Argentinian empanadas, cinnamon buns and scones, Indian samosas and a whole lot more....so come hungry!
Open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm with bar opening from 10:00 am for coffee,cocktails and beer! PLUS 15% discount on meals at the restaurant in the evenings if you collect the ticket from any vendor. No purchase necessary. A great breakfast is being served at Encore too (right across the street) in case you want to really "pig out!"
A Chorus Line at Stages - Wednesday thru Saturday
A Chorus Line will run until December 21 on the Main Stage, a musical with music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Edward Kleban and a book by James Kirkwood Jr. and Nicholas Dante.
The production is centered around seventeen Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on a chorus line, the musical is set on the bare stage of a Broadway theatre during an audition for a musical.
A Chorus Line provides a glimpse into the personalities of the performers and the choreographer as they describe the events that have shaped their lives and their decisions to become dancers.
Banderas Bay Jazz Allstars at PCC - Friday
The Banderas Bay Jazz Allstars are set to launch their third season exclusively on the Paradise Stage on December 13 and will be performing most Friday evenings until April 4, 8:00 until 10:00 pm.
Their extremely popular concerts managed to smash our attendance records all last season!
Come and find out why everyone comes back to experience this amazing band over and over again.
Cultural Market in Chacala - Saturday
We would like to invite you all to come check out our Cultural Market in the village of Chacala.
The Market will be presented every Saturday of the Winter Season from 8:00 am until around 12:00 noon, in the town plaza, next to Chac Mool Restaurant at the North end of the beach.
The focus is on locally produced handicrafts and local artists.
Once you're finished shopping, have some fresh fish in one of the beach palapas & take a dip in our 1km of sleepy, Certified Clean Beach.
Magica Navidad by PV Mens Chorus - Sunday
Make sure your December plans include the new tradition in Puerto Vallarta, the annual holiday show of the Puerto Vallarta Men’s Chorus!
On December 15 at 7:30 pm, we present our concert “Mágica Navidad” at Teatro Vallarta. The show is a fun mix of traditional holiday music and a couple of not so traditional pieces! As the name of the show implies, we will deliver a sense of magic and wonder through our music that will touch your heart and mind.
